Write Drunk, Revise Sober

Hair of the Dog - 12/13/07 Take something that you've already written and rewrite it as a haiku. Try to retain the same theme and tone as your original piece. You don't have to completely rewrite it; you may use portions of what you previously wrote, but it may be more difficult to restrict yourself to the 5-7-5 haiku format that way.Typically, a haiku uses two contrasting images of nature to represent big ideas like loss and love. For an extra challenge, once you're finished, rewrite your new haiku using nature imagery to represent the concepts you previously addressed. If your haiku did not have a contrast or conflict before, try to introduce one now. 0 comments
